Idle Relearn on (drive by wire) Electronic Throttle Bodies

 GM Vehicles

 All GM "may" have a high idle of about 2000 rpm and a P0507 after;

 1. Throttle Body replacement.

 2. Throttle Body service.

 Steps to Relearn the Idle;

  NOTE; The only code allowed is P0507. A Idle Relearn will not complete with any other code present.

 1. Perform the Idle Relearn on your Scanner, drive vehicle for 1 mile. If still high perform step 2.

 2. Perform a Hard PCM reset, unhook both battery cables and touch them together for 30 minutes.

 3. If the above procedures fails to obtain a normal Idle, the Idle Adaptive Memory must be cleared

     by completely erasing the PCM and Reprogramming it.

 Reprogramming the PCM with the most current Calibration is $125.00

 Throttle  should be clean, battery in good condition with clean tight cables.

   Nissan and Infiniti Vehicles

  All Nissan and Infiniti models "may have a high and or unstable idle and P0507 after;

 1. Throttle Body replacement.

 2. Throttle Body service.

 3. Low battery voltage or battery removal.

 Steps to Relearn the Idle;

 NOTE; The only code allowed is P0507. A Idle Relearn will not complete with any other code present.

 1. Perform the Manual Relearn procedure found in on-line repair manuals. Every step must be

     followed. (Very seldom will this work!)  The Idle Relearn on 90% of the aftermarket scanners

     say "Learn Complete" but the Idle was not relearned. If these procedures (fail), the Idle Relearn           must be performed using a Factory OEM Consult scanner.

 2. C & e can perform the Idle Air Volume Relearn using the Consult scanner.

      In a few rare cases it may require a Reprogram of the PCM.

 Performing the Idle Relearn using the Consult scanner is $100.00

  Programing the PCM and Idle Air Volume Relearn using the Consult scanner is $150.00  

 Throttle  should be clean, battery in good condition with clean tight cables.

  Honda Acura

 After replacement of the Throttle Body the Zero Setting of the Throttle Blade must be performed.

 Performing this Relearn using the Honda MVCI is $100.00

  VW & Audi

 All VW and Audi models "may have a high and or unstable idle and P0507 after;

 1. Throttle Body replacement.

 2. Throttle Body service.

 3. Low battery voltage or battery removal.

 NOTE; The only code allowed is P0507. A Idle Relearn will not complete with any other code present.

 Performing a Throttle Body Realignment is $125.00

  Throttle  should be clean, battery in good condition with clean tight cables.
