SERVICE CALL ON NISSAN AND INFINITI VEHICLES

Nissan and Infiniti PCM and TCM Modules

•     You are ultimately responsible to have the correct module for the vehicle.             
  

               OEM Rebuilt is the best choice, C & e has seen 0 defective units in ten years. 

         C & e has good success programming Used units (if its the right part for that vehicle).

           Aftermarket Rebuilt Modules have a very high failure rate. C & e no longer

          programs Aftermarket Rebuilt modules. C & e had 36 defective units in 2014.

               PCM and TCM Modules

          When replacing the PCM (new or used) have all Ignition Keys with vehicle.

               When replacing a PCM (new or used) a security code may be required. Call for prices.

          **PCMs and TCMs now come BLANK and additional steps are required. Call for details.

         **Important Information about BLANK PCMs and TCMs

         Nissan and Infinity PCMs and TCMs did come programed, now they are shipped
          as (Blank Modules) no software. A file must be obtained to program a Blank
          module. There are two scenarios to obtain this file;
          1.  C & e can retrieve the file from the old module.
          2.  If the old module will not communicate with the scanner, you must have
               the Nissan parts man give you the number for the software program.
               Call for details.
          The original PCM or TCM must be in vehicle.

          Verify you can communicate with original PCM or TCM, use a Scanner

          not a Code Reader. Call Ken at 714 356-7481 if there is no communication

          with original Module.

          Call for details and extra steps on TCM Module replacement.
          All ignition keys must be with vehicle when replacing PCM. 
                          

               General instructions all Powertrain Modules

•   Save all Information Sheets packaged with replacement modules.
  
•     Check the condition and state of charge of the Battery.
  
•    Battery cables must be clean and tight.
  
•      Vehicle must be parked close to a 110v wall outlet.
  
•    Should be parked in the shade with the windows down. Setting in the sun with
  

                the windows up, tempters can reach 140 degrees.  

Nissan and Infiniti Body, ABS, IPC and other Modules

•   C & e will only Initialize OEM New or OEM Rebuilt Modules, no used units.                                                                      
  

      If steering wheel is not straight, align vehicle before calling C & e. Otherwise Codes may set.

       All Ignition Keys must be with vehicle when replacing BCM Module.

        All Key Fobs (remotes) must be with vehicle when replacing the BCM Module.

        Important, leave old BCM in vehicle, information needs to be saved.

        Security Code required when replacing BCM.     

      General instructions all Modules
